The Alpha Course
Get Answers to Life’s Questions! The Alpha course is a short, practical, non-denominational introduction to the Christian faith, and a course to revitalize an existing faith. The most common statement from the Alpha graduates is,“Why did I wait so long to have this wonderful experience?”

Book Discussion Group
The Book Discussion Group is an important part of the library ministry. We enjoy books of different styles and subject matter. The book we are currently reading is posted in the newsletter and the worship bulletins. By being part of a book discussion group, we are exposed to new ideas, have a renewed awareness of literature, and stretch ourselves in our reading selections. We build relationships and enjoy the thoughts and experiences of others as we discuss books from our various perspectives. The group meets the third Saturday of the month in the Library off the Sanctuary Library. Come on in and join us! For more information, please contact Karen Strauch.
The Mission Lutheran Church Library exists to provide individuals with books and resource materials which uphold biblical principles and values and encourage, edify, equip and strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ. The Library is located off the entrance to the Sanctuary, and is open during church hours and Sunday services. The Library is a member of the National Church Library Association (NCLA), which provides valuable information about the operation of a church library. The NCLA has a quarterly newsletter with book recommendations from librarians who are members, which is use to help in purchasing our books. Occasionally, there will be library volunteer that will bring book carts on the patio after services (in good weather) to highlight current books for children, youth and adults. For more information regarding the library, please contact Debbie Schmidt.
